Welcome to Art History for the People – this blog that you’re reading right now. I am so glad you found your way here.

I (your host) am an art historian who studies Southern Baroque and Rococo art and architecture. If you want to find out more about what I’m into in terms of research and what this blog will be about, please see my “About” page.

For now let’s just say that this blog will be an unfurling site of stories and tales about art, the people who want it, the people who make it, and the people who stare at it incessantly (people like me and, hopefully, you). In the end, I believe that a deep interest and insatiable curiosity in history and art can help us grow as people. And if there’s anything I like more than art, or art history, it’s personal growth and the satisfaction of helping others to grow as well.

I hope you will decide to continue on with me on this journey of mine.
